Simple fast tracking in an unmanned tool crib or stores area
• Secure unmanned tool crib solution
• Dispense any size items
• High accuracy with little to no data entry (automatic scanning)
• Infinite storage space for unlimited SKUs
• Low cost per SKU and RFID tag
AIM Inventory AIM Portal becomes the employee ID-controlled doorway into and out of an existing stores area or tool crib. The AIM Portal RFID portal records transactions by reading Gen-2, Class 1, Passive RFID tags which are affixed to any number of items. These tags are automatically assigned by the included RFID printer just before being applied to the item.
AIM Portal's turnkey system of RFID readers scans items to be issued or returned, making check-in and check-out fast and easy. The system checks out items based on a unique serial number for each item (so there's less dependence on correct bin location).
Simple fast tracking in an unmanned tool crib or stores area
Easily dispense everything from large and bulky items to small and delicate items
AIM Portal is the perfect solution to secure your tool crib, fixture crib, gage crib or any stores area. It can easily dispense large or bulky items, as well as small and delicate items. And you have greater assurance of correct item identification, as the specific serial number of the item is tracked. You can even track an item on a pallet as it moves through AIM Portal.
Manage an infinite number of items per crib at a low cost per SKU
AIM Portal becomes the secure doorway to a tool crib as large as you want to create. It allows you to manage an infinite number of items - with a low cost per SKU. The Gen 2, Class 1 Passive RFID tags are also significantly less expensive (20 cents and up) than other RFID solutions.
Access control, cost and usage reporting, plus purchasing and receiving system
AIM Portal is controlled by AIM Inventory Software (client/server or web-based AIM Inventory.net). The system records each issue and return transaction, so usage can be tracked by employee, job, department, shift, and budget.
The software features an Intelligent Dashboard with key metrics visible at a glance on one screen. Over 200 reports are pre-loaded.
How AIM Portal works
To check out an item(s):
1. The user enters an employee number and pin number via a key pad, magnetic swipe, barcode reader or proximity card reader. The door to the AIM Portal unlocks. The user walks through the AIM Portal, and enters the tool crib to gather item(s), as the doors lock behind the user.
2. Before exiting the AIM Portal, the user selects "Check Out" on the touch screen.
3. The system scans the items, speaks the number of items detected, and asks user to confirm the products that are being taken. Upon confirmation, the door unlocks and opens for exit.
When returning an item(s):
1. The user enters an employee number and pin number, the door unlocks and the user enters the AIM Portal.
2. User selects "Check In" on the touch screen. The system scans the item(s), speaks the number of items detected, and asks user to confirm what item(s) is being returned.
3. The user may receive a receipt (optional) that instructs the user where to place the item.
4. If a gage is being returned, the user will be asked to enter the number of cycles used.
5. Upon leaving, the user selects "Check Out." The AIM Portal confirms that no items are in hand, verbally asks user to confirm, and the door unlocks for exit.
